29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Jobsite at 1627 West Main Road in Portsmouth: On or about 5/22/2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards, without fall protection, while working on top of stacks of insulation board that were between eight and nine feet above the ground. A-1 Roofing & Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1671983, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/3/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 20 Dr Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport, RI 02840.
