29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iii): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, shall be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level. On or about May 24, 2024, at a jobsite located at 2592 West Darling Street in Appleton, Wisconsin; employees engaged in roofing activities on a one-story residence were not protected from striking the ground when their personal fall arrest connectors were not adjusted such that the employees would not strike the ground in the event of a fall.
