29 CFR  1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function:  Tooling Department: On or about July 10, 2024, an employee was assigned to pump out a hydrogen chloride (HCl) tank that required the employee to wear a full-face respirator.  The employee was observed to have a full beard and stated that he had the full beard while wearing the full-face respirator during the pump out.  The employee is on a rotating schedule to periodically clean and pump out chemical tanks.
