29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): Raleigh Field Office, Gymnasium: On or June 12, 2024, the employer did not ensure that a written hazard assessment for personal protective equipment had been conducted for all employees (field agents, clan lab) engaged in the use items such as, but not limited to body armor, hazmat suits, ballistic helmets and gloves while conducting criminal investigations and drug evidence collection activities. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment: Raleigh Field Office, Gymnasium: On or June 12, 2024, the employer did not ensure sufficient working space of at least 3 feet was maintained for a wall mounted 220 volt disconnect switch that was obstructed by tables, a cardboard box, weight bench and other items.
