29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed Employees were exposed to fall hazards while working at 5936 McCoy St. Shawnee, Kansas. Employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to falls from approximately 11 feet 4 inches from the roof to the ground below in that the aluminum ladder used to access the roof did not extend at least 3 feet above the eave of the roof.
