29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:(a)   a. On or about June 10, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, the portable ladder used to access the garage roof did not extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing surface, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls. The ladder was extended approximately 6" above the roof's surface. The employee was exposed to a maximum fall height of 12'-1" measured from the roof's edge to the ground below.  b. On or about June 10, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, the portable ladder used to access the garage roof did not extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing surface, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls. The ladder was extended approximately 2'-6" above the roof's surface. The employees were exposed to a maximum fall height of 16'-9" measured from the roof's edge to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a. On or about June 10, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee using a pneumatic nail gun was not wearing safety glasses, thereby exposing the employee to hazards associated with eye injuries.  Construction G Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1708320, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 10, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 10469 Dearlove Rd., Glenview, IL 60025.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m), or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):   a. On or about June 10, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing residential roofing operations, twelve (12') feet one (1") inch above the ground, was not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards.  b. On or about June 10, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations, sixteen (16') feet nine (9") inches above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.  Construction G Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1708320, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on January 10, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 10469 Dearlove Rd., Glenview, IL 60025.

On or about June 10, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee was carrying shingles up the ladder twelve (12) feet (1) one inch, thereby exposing the employee to hazards associated with falls.  b. On or about June 10, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee was carrying material down the ladder sixteen (16) feet (9) nine inches, thereby exposing the employee to hazards associated with falls.  Construction G Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(22), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1708320, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on January 10, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 10469 Dearlove Rd., Glenview, IL 60025.
