29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): On or about June 12, 2024, and at times prior thereto, employees engaged in applying roofing materials were not provided fall protection exposing employees to an unprotected fall hazard of approximately 11 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.502(d): The employer used body belts as part of a personal fall arrest system: Effective January 1, 1998, body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. Note: The use of a body belt in a positioning device system is acceptable and is regulated under paragraph (e) of this section. On or about June 12, 2024, and at times prior thereto, at the jobsite, employee(s) performed roofing work without wearing personal fall arrest systems. Positioning device body belts were used for fall protection which are not allowed as personal fall arrest systems.
