29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) Worksite, 10 Front Street Schenectady, NY - On or about June 21, 2024, employees were using a Werner portable extension ladder to access the roof of a residential building approximately 25-feet above the ground. The ladder side rails extended approximately 12 inches above the landing surface.
