29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used, when necessary, whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered. a) 1 W. Hillview Ave., New Castle, DE 19720 (Rear Yard): On or about June 25, 2024, two employees were observed conducting tree removal activities exposing them to cut hazards when using a Stihl Model MS 194 T and Stihl Model S 661 powered chain saws without protective clothing such as but not limited to chaps, eye protection, and head protection. b) 1 W. Hillview Ave., New Castle, DE 19720 (rear Yard): On or about June 25, 2024, one employee conducting tree chipping activities was exposed to caught in/struck by hazards when using an Altec Environmental Product, LLC chipper model number DC1317, Vin #5WDS41510DC200127 without protective clothing such as but not limited to chaps, hearing protection, eye protection, and head protection.
