The grinder manufacturer warning label states "Always wear ANSI-approved eye protection and NIOSH-approved dust mask/respirator".

29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1. a) 256 Dillon Circle, Middletown, DE 19709: On or about August 26, 2025, an employee was exposed to silica dust while cutting landscaping pavers outdoors using a 4 inch Chicago Electric Power Tools handheld grinder (SN 374641922) without the use of engineering controls, work practices, or respiratory protection as specified under Table 1, subsection (xii): Handheld grinders for uses other than mortar removal, which requires employees to operate and maintain tools in accordance with manufacturer's instructions to minimize dust emissions. The grinder manufacturer warning label states "Always wear ANSI-approved eye protection and NIOSH-approved dust mask/respirator".
