29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2):The employer shall ensure that an employee using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator is fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter. Durham VA Medical Center: On or about July 16, 2024, the employer did not ensure that all nurses being required to don N95 respirators for protection against potential respiratory hazards such as, but not limited to coronavirus (COVID-19), tuberculosis (TB), severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and influenza were subjected to an annual fit test. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
