29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by a competent person: (a)Chable Roofing & Construction Inc. at 210 South Main Avenue, Tea, SD 57064: On or about and at times prior to July 25, 2024, the employer did not ensure frequent and regular inspections of the job site were conducted. Employees were conducting roofing operations on a commercial property and were not utilizing fall protection systems as well as being exposed to ladder hazards, eye injuries and lack of training provided to employees. This condition exposed employees to fall and struck-by hazards. Chable Roofing & Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1654350, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 30, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 705 North Bahnson Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57103.

This condition exposed employees to eye injuries including the introduction of foreign particles into the eye while working. Chable Roofing & Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1654350, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 30, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 705 North Bahnson Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57103.
