Jobsite: Safety glasses were not worn by employees who were operating nail gun during framing operations.

29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials, and equipment to be made by competent person(s): On or about 07/23/2024, the employer did not have a program to conduct and document frequent and regular inspections of their worksites to ensure that workers were protected from falls. Employees were exposed to fall hazards in the following instances: a. Second floor: Employee was framing a pool house structure working at an edge, over 20 feet from ground level, without the use of a fall protection system. b. First floor: A fourteen step staircase used to access upper level, was open sided with no protective railing. c. First Floor: There was an uncovered floor hole, with a drop over 8 feet to concrete basement floor below.
