29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) 5708 Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, NJ: The employer did not ensure that employees were protected from falls. Employees were installing residential framing and were exposed to fall hazards when standing on the edge of a second story deck at heights around 30 feet and were not protected from falls by use of a personal fall arrest system or guardrail system. Condition noted on or about 08/01/2024. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
