OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were not protected from the hazard of high heat while performing job duties:  On or about September 19, 2024, an employee was exposed to high heat during the performance of their job duties of sorting and delivering packages after stopping the truck.   United Parcel Service was previously cited for a violation of Section (5)(a)(1) of the OSH Act, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1423823, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 22, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1401 N Carroll Dallas, Texas 75204.

UPS Center Belton Greenbelt Conveyor: On or about October 9, 2024, the employer allowed the area between the greenbelt conveyor and old customer service office to be congested with carts, debris, and parcels.

29 CFR 1910.151(b): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons were not adequately trained to render first aid.  On or about August 6, 2024, and at times prior thereto, during delivery driver routes, when medical facility for treatment of injured employees was not available in near proximity, the employer did not have a person or persons trained to understand and render first aid treatment or ensure other medical treatment was available/utilized for all injured employees.  On or about August 21, 2024, and at times prior thereto, during delivery driver routes, when medical facility for treatment of injured employees was not available in near proximity, the employer did not have a person or persons trained to understand and render first aid treatment or ensure other medical treatment was available/utilized for all injured employees. United Parcel Service was previously cited for 1910.151(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1694715, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 15, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 3000 Redbud Blvd McKinney, Texas 75069.  United Parcel Service was previously cited for 1910.151(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1549441, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 7, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 5700 Franklin Avenue, Waco, Texas 76710.
