At a worksite located at 530 SE Reid St, Blue Springs, MO, employees were exposed to struck by hazards to their eye and face areas. The employer exposed the employees to these hazard by allowing them to utilize a pneumatic nail gun without the use of eye or face protection. 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): At a worksite located at 530 SE Reid St, Blue Springs, MO, employees were exposed to fall hazards. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to work at heights greater than 6 feet without the use of fall protection while performing construction work. Instances of exposure include, but are not limited to: 1. One employee working on the eastern section of the structures roof at heights greater than 8 feet without the use of fall protection. 2. One employee working on the western section of the structures roof at heights greater than 8 feet without the use of fall protection. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where a portable ladder was used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder. At a worksite located at 530 SE Reid St, Blue Springs, MO, employees were exposed to fall hazards. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to utilize a portable ladder that did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface it was being used to access, nor was the ladder secured at its top to a rigid support with a grasping device provided for employee use.
