29 CFR 1910.106(g)(8): The employer did not ensure that conspicuous and legible signs prohibiting smoking were posted within sight of the employee being served: a. On or about 5 August 2024 at the diesel and gasoline fuel dispensing units, USCBP TARS site, Lajas, PR. In areas where flammable and combustible materials were located and dispensed, it was observed that "no-smoking" signs were missing. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
