29 CFR 1915.81(a)(3): The employer stored materials in a manner that created a hazard for employees: a) Newport News Shipbuilding, 4101 Washington Ave. NNS Warehouse numbered B872 on or about 08/10/2024, an employee was changing out a shrink wrap roll on a pallet wrapping machine when he bumped an adjacent stack of pallets causing the top pallet to fall and strike his right leg. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
