29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc. a) Auburn Vacuum Forming Co., Inc., 40 York Street, Auburn, NY - First Floor. On or about August 20, 2024, the Rotary VAC#4 did not have a guard on the rear side of the machine to protect workers from struck-by hazards from rotating parts. b) Auburn Vacuum Forming Co., Inc., 40 York Street, Auburn, NY - First Floor. The Rotary VAC#4, operator side, did not have a guard to protect the operator from struck-by hazards from rotating parts. c) Auburn Vacuum Forming Co., Inc., 40 York Street, Auburn, NY - First Floor. Vertical Bandsaws such as the Powermatic and Tanewitz did not have guards to protect against the point of operation at the saw.
