29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii):Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear appropriate goggles to protect them from the rays when noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields were not used: Employees are exposed to eye injury hazards due to ultraviolet light exposure. This was most recently documented on or about August 20, 2024 at 1800 Centennial Avenue, Hastings, Nebraska. Employees working as grinders in the aluminum department were not protected from welding flash from the adjacent welding areas.

This was most recently documented on or about August 20, 2024 at 1800 Centennial Avenue, Hastings Nebraska. Aluminum dust was being created in the grinding booth area. Electrically powered equipment within the grinding booth area was not approved for use in a Class II Division II in the following but not limited to.
