OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employee(s) were exposed to struck-by hazards due to the lack of training for job or task to be performed of a garbage truck:  Location: West 6th Ave, Roselle, NJ 07203  On or about August 21, 2024, employee(s) were exposed to struck-by hazard(s) during residential recyclable waste collection using a 2015 LEACH Split Rear Loader Garbage Truck (Truck #36).  An employee sustained a foot injury after he was struck-by the garbage truck while pulling a recyclable can into the street from a residential home. The employer provided and permitted helper employee(s) to perform activities, including loading and moving waste bins, on and around load the garbage truck as part of residential waste collection without ensuring each contract laborer was fully trained including operational and maintenance instruction for the specific equipment to be used by the employee and as identified in the hazard assessment.
