OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to caught between hazards due to the lack of training for job or task to be performed of a garbage truck. A) 800 East Grand St. Elizabeth, NJ 07201 On or about October 1, 2024, an employee was exposed to caught in between hazard(s) during residential recycling waste collection operations while another employee was operating a Mac Rear Loader Garbage Truck #178. The employee was riding the rear step while the truck was in reverse and sustained injuries to the abdomen and lower back after he was caught between the garbage truck and the utility pole.
