29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes: a.)Meadville Forging Company, L.P., 440 McClellan Street, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403, on or about August, 29th, 2024 and times prior thereto: Employees were potentially exposed to dermal contact with CNC machine coolant while working with and around Fuschs Ecocool 711. Employees worked with and around Fuschs Ecocool 711 during work operations including, but not limited to, CNC operation/maintenance. Employees did not utilize appropriate chemical resistant gloves to prevent exposure to the coolant.
