One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.  a) On 7/8/2024, the employer did not ensure that the pinch point hazard, for machine such as, but not limited to; the Lawson 55" Cutter (serial #1790) was inadequately guarded, in that employees were able to come in  contact with the hold down while removing a spacer from the point of operation for the cutter machine during production.
