29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about September 8, 2024, employees engaged in commercial manufacturing activities, located at 3400 W. O Street, Lincoln, NE 68528, were exposed to thermal burn hazards in that employees were using the inadequately guarded tarp cutting and welding machines as part of normal production. Instances of inadequate guarding include but are not limited to:  i. On the Miller Weldmaster: Model: 112EX: Serial Number: 112EX-1214-3891the current guard only protects the employee on one side of the point of operation on the machine resulting in employees suffering burns during production.    ii. On the Miller Weldmaster: Model: 112EX: Serial Number: 112EX-0215-31113891the current guard only protects the employees on one side of the point of operation on the machine resulting in employees suffering burns during production.  iii. On the Asset Number 3-100 Six-Headed Drill Press Machine, the current guards do not protect employees when they are using Drill Head Number 3 from the point of operation of the machine, resulting in an amputation hazard.
