29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area.    a)Jobsite located at 1535 South 26th Street Philadelphia, PA.: the employer failed to ensure that employees were provided with adequate training while working with liquid chemicals and acids while preforming brick  pointing.  Employees are exposed to chemicals, including but not limited to: -Hydrogen Fluoride -Phosphoric Acid -Glycolic Acid  Condition was noted to exist on or about September 6, 2024.

29 CFR  1926.452(j)(2):Poles shall be secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary. When the pump jack has to pass bracing already installed, an additional brace shall be installed approximately 4 feet (1.2 m) above the brace to be passed, and shall be left in place until the pump jack has been moved and the original brace reinstalled.  a) Worksite located at 1535 South 26th Street Philadelphia, PA 19146: The employer did not ensure poles of the pumpjack scaffold were secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom and other points as necessary. Employees performed brick pointing from the unsecured pumpjack scaffold, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.  Condition was observed on or about September 6, 2024

29 CFR  1926.454(a):The employer shall have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. The training shall include the following areas, as applicable:  a) Jobsite located at 1535 South 26th Street, Philadelphia, PA.: The employer did not train employees conducting brick pointing activities from a pump jack scaffold, who were exposed to an approximate 25 foot fall hazard, to recognize the hazards associated with working from scaffolds and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards.  Condition was observed on or about September 6, 2024
