29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) On or about July 9, 2024, employees conducting shingle installation work on the second story of the north side of a residential roof with a 4:12 pitch, were not tied off. This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet from roof to the ground below. (b) On or about July 9, 2024, employees conducting shingle installation work on the garage roof of an existing residential roof with a 10:12 pitch, were not using fall protection. This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet from roof to the ground below.
