The circuit breaker panel had two (2) storage racks, two (2) vacuum cleaner(s), multiple boxes and computer monitor(s) obstructing the panel. This condition interferes with access and immediate shutdown of a circuit in the panel, particularly in the event of an emergency. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to electrical shock and/or fire hazard(s).

29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(i): Portable cord and plug connected equipment and flexible cord sets (extension cords) were not visually inspected before use on any shift for external defects (such as loose parts, deformed and missing pins, or damage to outer jacket or insulation) and for evidence of possible internal damage (such as pinched or crushed outer jacket). On or about October 1st, 2024, and at times prior thereto employee(s) used the TASKVAC commercial vacuum cleaner to vacuum the office spaces. Also, employee(s) used the Belkin 7-Outlet SurgeMaster Surge Protector to plug a Levoit True HEPA Air Purifier and a WOOZOO Fan Circulator. The TASKVAC commercial vacuum cleaner and the Belkin 7-Outlet SurgeMaster Surge Protector was not visually inspected for exposed wiring. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to electrical shock and/or fire hazards. In the following location(s): a) Safety Office, Room 127, Bldg. 214 - TASKVAC commercial vacuum cleaner. b) IT Emergency Management Office, Room 125, Bldg. 214 - Belkin 7-Outlet SurgeMaster Surge Protector.
