A device such as a panic bar that locks only from the outside is permitted on exit discharge doors. On or about October 8, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that an emergency exit door located in the back of the warehouse was able to be opened without tools or special knowledge in that the exit door was locked with a barrel bolt lock.
