29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a)Neiman Enterprises, Inc. dba Spearfish Forest Products, Inc. at 1510 West Oliver Street, Spearfish, SD 57783: On or about and at times prior to October 9, 2024, the employer did not ensure the Planer Bander platen equipment located in Building 600 was guarded. This condition exposed employees to caught-in and amputation hazards associated with the unguarded platen equipment.
