29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There were damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of electric equipment, such as parts that were broken, bent, cut or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating: On or about October 17, 2024, on night crew sleeping quarters, employee(s) were utilizing a damaged electrical box with a panel that had been secured using duct tape, breakers pushed in and would not close while conducting oil and gas activities. Helmerich & Payne International Drilling Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1737482, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 8, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at H&P Rig 426, 11.1 from Gardendale TX, Andrews, TX 79714.
