29 CFR 1926.1203(b)(1): Where the workplace contained one or more permit spaces, the employer who identified, or received notice of, a permit space did not inform exposed employees by posting danger signs or by any other equally effective means of the existence and location of, and the danger posed by, each permit space. On or about May 6, 2024, at the first floor of an apartment building, a subcontractor employee entered an elevator pit, a permit space, to install fire protection devices and was not informed by posted danger signs or by any other equally effective means of the existence and the danger posed by the permit space.
