On and before November 1, 2024, an employee working mill #1 packaging line operator was exposed to noise at 120% of the permissible daily dose, or an average sound level of 92.7dB, as measured over 517 minutes of sampling. b. On and before November 1, 2024, an employee working as an ASI hydro/floater was exposed to noise at 133.8% of the permissible daily dose, or an average sound level of 93.3dB, as measured over 528 minutes of sampling.

29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: a. On and before November 1, 2024, an employee working mill #1 packaging line operator was exposed to noise at 120% of the permissible daily dose, or an average sound level of 92.7dB, as measured over 517 minutes of sampling. This dose is equivalent to an 8-hour TWA exposure of 91.3dB. The employer did not maintain an effective hearing conservation program in that the employer did not perform monitoring since 2013 and the employer continued to have standard threshold shifts. b. On and before November 1, 2024, an employee working as an ASI hydro/floater was exposed to noise at 133.8% of the permissible daily dose, or an average sound level of 93.3dB, as measured over 528 minutes of sampling. This dose is equivalent to an 8-hour TWA exposure of 92.1dB. The employer did not maintain an effective hearing conservation program in that the employer did not perform monitoring since 2013 and the employer continued to have standard threshold shifts.

On and before November 1, 2024, the mill #1 packaging line operator was exposed to continuous noise at 120% of the permissible daily (8-hour, time-weighted average sound level of 90 dbA or equivalently, a dose of 100 percent), during the 517 minute sampling period. The employer had not implemented noise sampling since 2013 and the employer continued to have standard threshold shifts. b. On and before November 1, 2024, the ASI Hydro/Floater was exposed to continuous noise at 133.8% of the permissible daily (8-hour, time-weighted average sound level of 90 dbA or equivalently, a dose of 100 percent), during the 528 minute sampling period. The employer had not implemented noise sampling since 2013 and the employer continued to have standard threshold shifts.
