29 CFR  1910.133(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.   a.) On or about October 15, 2024, the employer did not ensure employees exposed to caustic liquids while changing out a 5-gallon container of State Pyxis Destainer (Corrosive, pH 12.5-13.5) for the automated laundry liquid dispensing system were provided and required to wear personal protective eyewear such as, but not limited to goggles or a face shield.

29 CFR  1910.1030(c)(1)(ii)(B): Exposure Control Plan. Each employer having an employee(s) with occupational exposure as defined by paragraph (b) of this section shall establish a written Exposure Control Plan designed to eliminate or minimize employee exposure. The Exposure Control Plan shall contain at least the following elements: The schedule and method of implementation for paragraphs (d) Methods of Compliance, (e) HIV and HBV Research Laboratories and Production Facilities, (f) Hepatitis B Vaccination and Post-Exposure Evaluation and Follow-up, (g) Communication of Hazards to Employees, and (h) Recordkeeping, of this standard, and  a.) On or about October 22, 2024, the employer did not ensure their written exposure control plan was adequate in that it did not detail all of the employer's methods of compliance, information about Hepatitis B Vaccination, Communication of Hazards to Employees, and Recordkeeping procedures.

29 CFR  1910.1030(c)(2)(i): Exposure determination. Each employer who has an employee(s) with occupational exposure as defined by paragraph (b) of this section shall prepare an exposure determination. This exposure determination shall contain the following:  1910.1030(c)(2)(i)(A) A list of all job classifications in which all employees in those job classifications have occupational exposure; 1910.1030(c)(2)(i)(B) A list of job classifications in which some employees have occupational exposure, and 1910.1030(c)(2)(i)(C) A list of all tasks and procedures or groups of closely related task and procedures in which occupational exposure occurs and that are performed by employees in job classifications listed in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (c)(2)(i)(B) of this standard.  1910.1030(c)(2)(ii) This exposure determination shall be made without regard to the use of personal protective equipment.  a.)
