29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:   On or about October 24, 2024, the employer did not develop and implement the elements of a written hazard communication program for employees exposed to hazardous chemicals such as but not limited to petroleum distillates which are included in Metdraw 541. Employees were exposed to contact hazards which could result in health effects such as skin or eye irritation.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  On or about October 24, 2024, the employer had not provided information and training on hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to petroleum distillates which are included in Metdraw 541 which employees are exposed to while working on Videx machines. Training should cover the written hazard communication program, health hazards associated with the chemicals, methods to detect the release of hazardous chemicals, measures employees can take to protect themselves from exposure to the chemicals, and safety data sheets.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): The employer did not verify that the required workplace hazard assessment has been performed through a written certification that identifies the workplace evaluated, the person certifying that the evaluation has been performed, the date(s) of the hazard assessment, and, which identifies the document as a certification of hazard assessment:  On or about October 24, 2024, the employer had not verified, through a written certification, that the required workplace hazard assessment had been performed to determine if hazards such as impact with flying objects such as metal chips were present that necessitated the use of PPE such as safety glasses to protect employees that work on machines that cut and manipulated metal wire in the production area of the facility.
