29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). (a) On or about November 13, 2024, at 9772 Mustang Place, Oak Creek, WI 53154, employees installing a roof on an existing residential home with an approximately 10:12 pitch roof were not using fall protection. This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 23 feet from the roof eve to the ground below on the back (East) side of the home. Platinum Complete Exteriors Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1777970, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 13, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 10321 Metalmark Ln, Roscoe, IL 61073.
