29 CFR 1926.501(c)(3): The employer did not barricade the area to which objects could fall, did not prohibit employees from entering the barricaded area, and did not keep objects that could fall far enough away from the edge of a higher level so that those objects would not go over the edge if they were accidentally displaced. 104 Episcopal Road, Berlin, CT, Apartment building construction project: On or about November 18, 2024, the employer failed to barricade the ground area while employees were performing roofing work activities at an approximate height of 22 feet from the eave of the roof to the ground on 6/12 pitch roof exposing ground level employees to struck by hazards. An employee was struck by a roll of ice and water roofing material while preparing the porch area for framing.
