29 CFR 1910.23(b)(10): The employer did not ensure that any ladder with structural or other defects as immediately tagged "Dangerous: Do Not Use" or with similar language in accordance with � 1910.145 and removed from service until repaired in accordance with � 1910.22(d), or replaced.  On or about November 20, 2024, the employer did not ensure that several 6 foot A-frame ladders with defects were removed from service. The A-frame ladders used did not have any manufacturer data listed for safety requirements nor load limits for employees to identify during inspection and use. This condition potentially exposed employees to fall hazards in the following locations:  a) Automated Package Processing System (APPS) (2 Ladders) b) Automated Parcel Bundle Sorter (APBS) (1 Ladder)

29 CFR  1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.:  Electronic Technician Cage: On or about November 20, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees using compressed air for cleaning was reduced to 30 p.s.i and with effective chip guarding. This condition potentially exposed employees flying debris and air embolism hazards.

1910.219(c)(4)(i)  Projecting shaft ends shall present a smooth edge and end and shall not project more than one-half the diameter of the shaft unless guarded by nonrotating caps or safety sleeves. 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  Throughout the facility: On or about November 20, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the inward facing drive rollers on the Automated Package Processing Systems (APPS) we properly guarded. This condition potentially exposed employees to caught-in hazards.  The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1711065, citation number 1, item number 1-b and was affirmed as a final order on 08-19-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 200 Mount Royal Shopping Cir, Duluth, MN 55803.  The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1709124, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12-18-2023, with respect to a workplace located at 2036 E Landstreet Rd, Orlando, FL 32824.  The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1555050, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 03-28-2022 , with respect to a workplace located at 3701 West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27495.
