29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11):"Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) On or about 11/21/2024, during the roofing project at the village square building, located on 24 West Avenue, in Spencerport, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of fall protection; exposing employees to fall hazards while installing shingles 20 feet above lower levels. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
