OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing and struck by hazards. (a) On or about November 22, 2024, in the CNC Machining Area Cell 10, employees using a job-made L shaped hook (below-the-hook lifting device) did not adequately secure the load when lifting and moving unfinished parts (weighing approximately 180lbs) from the parts bin to the CNC machine. Exposing them to struck-by and caught-in hazards, likely to result in serious injuries.
