29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(15):Ladders shall be inspected by a competent person for visible defects on a periodic basis and after any occurrence that could affect their safe use. a.) On or about December 12, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that employees using multi-function ladders to conduct roof inspections properly inspected ladders before each use, and as a result employees were exposed to a fall hazards of 8' 11" as a multi-function ladder collapsed on an employee during the decent from a roof inspection.
