29 CFR 1910. 147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that employees acquired the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage and removal of energy control devices. a) De Ruiiter International USA Inc. on or about December 18, 2024 at the location of 120 Harvest Dr. Coldwater, Ohio 45828: The employer did not ensure an employee in the Chop and Bale area understood the blue incline conveyor of the 508 Chopper in warehouse 3 should have been shut off before un-jamming material from the base of the conveyor. Due to this condition, the employee was exposed to caught in hazards when they elected to remove the jammed material.

Ohio 45828: The employer did not ensure an employee assigned to work the metal detector in the Chop and Bale area followed procedures to de-energized the 508 Chopper in warehouse 3 before he elected to remove jammed material from the base of its blue incline conveyor, thereby exposing him to caught in hazards.
