29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toe boards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Location: Residential home roof @ 49 Arlington St. New Bedford, MA. On or about 01/13/25 employees were exposed to falls of more than 16 feet to the ground below, where a guardrail system or, personal fall arrest system was not in use. GIA Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1695373, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 02/01/24, with respect to a workplace located at 522 American Legion Hwy. Westport, MA.
