29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 11590 West Scarlett Ln. Maize, Kansas, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the job site. Employees were handling Atlas ProLam asphalt/fiberglass shingles. The chemical hazards associated with this chemical include: scratchy throat, congestion and slight coughing, eye irritation and itching, rash or redness, skin irritation and itching, irritation of the stomach and intestines, and irritation of mouth, nose and throat.

Maize, Kansas, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that they were not provided access to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for Atlas ProLam asphalt/fiberglass shingles at the job site. The chemical hazards associated with this chemical include: scratchy throat, congestion and slight coughing, eye irritation and itching, rash or redness, skin irritation and itching, irritation of the stomach and intestines, and irritation of mouth, nose and throat.
