29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 9382-9384 East Wassall St. Wichita, Kansas, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the job site. Employees were handling Atlas ProLam asphalt/fiberglass shingles, Lucas #9600 high-performance urethane joint & termination sealant and gasoline. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: scratchy throat, congestion and slight coughing, eye irritation and itching, rash or redness, skin irritation and itching, irritation of mouth, nose and throat, drowsiness and/or dizziness, may cause cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. The Martin Sandoval was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1798183, citation number 1, item number 1/a and was affirmed as a final order on 02-12-2025, with respect to a workplace located at 11590 West Scarlett Ln. 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 9382-9384 East Wassall St. Wichita, Kansas, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that they were not provided training on the chemical hazards of Atlas ProLam asphalt/fiberglass shingles, Lucas #9600 high-performance urethane joint & termination sealant and gasoline. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: scratchy throat, congestion and slight coughing, eye irritation and itching, rash or redness, skin irritation and itching, irritation of mouth, nose and throat, drowsiness and/or dizziness, may cause cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
