29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about January 28th, 2025 Location: 44 New Avenue, Yonkers, New York 10704 a) Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 24 ft while doing demolition work next to unprotected edge. Employees did not have fall protection system. b) Employee was exposed to fall a hazard of approximately 24 ft while disposing demolition debris with a wheelbarrow off the building side. State Contracting Corp. Of NY DBA Capital Industries, Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1700844, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/06/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 251 E. Main Street, Elmsford - NY.
