29 CFR  1910.106(d)(4)(i): Inside flammable or combustible liquid storage room opening(s) into other room(s) or building(s) were not provided with approved self-closing fire door(s):   A.) Champion Carrier Corporation, DBA Champion Carrier Miller Industries, Inc., Paint Department, On or about 2/6/25 and times prior thereto: On or about 2/6/25 and times prior thereto: The Industrial Paint Mix Room ("Kitchen") associated with Spray Booth 6 contained various flammable and combustible liquids for use during spray finishing operations. The main entrance doors to the Mix Room were not self-closing.    ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1910.107(b)(9):A clear space of not less than 3 feet on all sides was not kept free from storage or combustible construction:  A.) Champion Carrier Corporation, DBA Champion Carrier Miller Industries, Inc., Paint Department, On or about 2/6/25 and times prior thereto: employees perform spray coating of towing/salvage industry truck products with flammable liquids in the spray booths.  Materials including, but not limited to, a storage rack holding various 1-gallon containers of paints were stored within 3 feet of the spray booth 6.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1910.107(e)(2):The quantity of flammable or combustible liquids kept in the vicinity of spraying operation(s) exceeded the minimum required for operation:  A.) Champion Carrier Corporation, DBA Champion Carrier Miller Industries, Inc., Paint Department, On or about 2/6/25 and times prior thereto: employees perform spray coating of towing/salvage industry truck products with flammable liquids in the spray booths.  Various container of flammable liquids were stored next to booth 6. The quantities of flammable liquids that were stored next to booth 6 were greater than the minimum required for spraying operations for one day and one shift.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1910.145(d)(6): The standard color background of a safety instruction sign was not white and the panel, green with white letter. Any letters used against the white background was no black. The colors were no opaque glossy samples as specified in Table 1 of ANSI Z53.1-1967 or in Table 1 of ANSI Z535.1-2006 (R2011) incorporated by reference in 1910.6.    A.) Champion Carrier Corporation, DBA Champion Carrier Miller Industries, Inc., Compressor Room, On or about 2/6/25 and times prior thereto:  Green tape was applied to Air Dryers instead of a safety instruction sign to inform employees not to turn off the air dryers.  Air Dryers Include but is not limited to, 1 Ingersoll Rand, 2 Gardner Denver, and  3 Gardner Denver.  A.) Champion Carrier Corporation, DBA Champion Carrier Miller Industries, Inc., Compressor Room, On or about 2/6/25 and times prior thereto:  Green Tape stating "DO NOT TURN OFF! LEAVE ON" was on air dryers.  The tape did not meet the requirements for a Safety instruction sign. Air Dryers Include but is not limited to, 1 Ingersoll Rand, 2 Gardner Denver, and  3 Gardner Denver.      ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).
