29 CFR 1926.502(f)(2)(ii): The rope, wire, or chain was not rigged or supported in such a way that its lowest point (including sag) was not less than 34 inches (0.9 m) from the walking/working surface and its highest point no more than 39 inches (1.0 m) from the walking/working surface. a.) ROI Roofing and Supply, 2978 W. 12th Street, Erie, PA - On or about 2/11/25, and at times prior thereto, employees were engaged in roofing activities on a flat roof approximately 16 feet high. The warning line was touching the roof on several areas of the building. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.502(f)(1)(iii): Points of access, material handling areas, storage areas, and/or hoisting areas were not connected to the work area by an access path formed by two warning lines: a.) ROI Roofing and Supply, 2978 W. 12th Street, Erie, PA - On or about 2/11/25, and at times prior thereto, employees were engaged in roofing activities on a flat roof approximately 16 feet high. There was not a path created by rope or other substantial material from the ladder to access the roof to the warning line. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
