29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access. Location: 1864 East 22nd Street, Brooklyn, NY. On or about 2/12/2025, a) Employees used an extension ladder to access the roof. The ladder did not extend at least 3 feet above the roof. The employer, RK Seamless Gutters Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.1053(b)(1)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1564455, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on 6/8/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 2033 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn, NY.
