29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) On or about 02/24/2025, during the roofing project at the Classy Chassy Carwash, located on 1985 Buffalo Road, in Rochester, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of fall protection; exposing employees to fall hazards while installing a new roof including roof underlayment and shingles 14 feet above lower levels. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
